Due to the fact that we’ve just launched this community platform and we’re still fine-tuning things, we’d love to hear any feedback that you might have about the platform.
This can include suggestions you might have as well as any problems or bugs you may have come across. We’d love to hear from you via the relevant buttons at the very top of the site.
We hope you enjoy this platform, meet some great people, broaden your network and make use of the targeted audience to keep us in the loop as to what you’ve been up to.
Just below the main menu on your left is your feed. This feed is much like your Facebook feed and keeps you in the loop about what other members of the community are up to.
Above your feed is a box where you can add your own contributions to the community feed wall. Tell people what you’re up to, upload images, videos and even start a poll. This is where the magic happens and everyone gets to see any updates and announcements that you wish to make.
At the top of your page you will see the main menu. This features the following main sections of the community:
Your Feed: The latest activity from all members of the commmunity, much like your Facebook feed.
Channels: Focused groups that you can join for more specific conversations on topics related to that channel.
Alumni: A list of all community members. Ideal for getting aquianted with members and building your network.
My Profile: Your own profile and wall – again much like Facebook. Be sure to complete your profile by adding profile and cover images as well as telling the rest of the community a bit about yourself.
Notifications: Any updates related to you directly will available here.
You have been hand-picked to be part of the very first group of people to have access to our brand new SIIITR Alumni Community platform, which is currently in BETA launch phase.
Connection is what it’s all about. If we can build this community with like-minded individuals, we can network with others, build relationships and potentially work together in future – all in the aim of improving the lives of regional Australians.
